Everything published on this site is written and reviewed by the Marine Survey Indonesia Editorial Desk. We publish no invented author personas, no testimonials, no star ratings and no award badges. Fee figures are indicative bands in USD, technical statements are checked against practice, and corrections are made rather than quietly deleted.
This page exists because the marine survey market has an evidence problem. Sites in this sector routinely display fabricated reviews, invented surveyor biographies, accreditation badges nobody holds and prices that change once you enquire. We are stating our rules so that you can hold us to them.
Authorship
- Content is attributed to the Marine Survey Indonesia Editorial Desk, the editorial function of the survey desk. Pages carry no personal byline.
- We do not publish fictitious authors, invented surveyor biographies or stock-photo staff.
- Technical content is reviewed by attending surveyors with experience of the work described before publication.
- Where an article describes a procedure we carry out, it describes what we actually do — not an idealised version.
Claims and evidence
| Claim type | Our rule |
|---|---|
| Accreditation and membership | Stated only where held, at the level held. Institutional badges are not displayed at brand level. See accreditations and standards |
| Ratings, reviews and testimonials | None published. Reports are confidential to the instructing party and we do not solicit or display client praise |
| Awards | None claimed. No award badges appear on this site |
| Statistics and volumes | Only figures we can support. We do not publish survey counts, client counts or years-of-experience totals we cannot evidence |
| Prices | Published as indicative bands in USD, clearly labelled as such, with third-party costs identified separately. The written quotation governs |
| Technical statements | Checked against current practice and, where relevant, against the applicable convention or class criteria. Where practice varies we say so rather than presenting one view as universal |
| Regulatory statements | We state who issues certificates and who does not, including where that limits us |
Language and audience
The site is written in English because most of our instructing parties — foreign buyers, underwriters, banks, charterers and P&I correspondents — read in English, and because our reports are issued in English. A dedicated Indonesian-language page for the domestic market is maintained at jasa survey kapal, and Indonesian summaries of reports are available on request.
Corrections
If something here is wrong, tell us and we will correct it. Substantive corrections to technical content are made in place, and where a correction changes the meaning of published guidance we note the change rather than silently editing. Send corrections to the desk email on the contact page.
Independence in editorial content
This site links to other businesses in the Komodo Luxury maritime group and to independent businesses in the Indonesian maritime sector. Those links are editorial routing to the party best placed to help — a listing, a yard, an operating programme — and they are not paid placements. Nothing on this site is sponsored content, and no third party pays for a mention. Survey findings in our reports are never influenced by any commercial relationship, and where a group company has an interest in a vessel we are asked to survey, we disclose it in writing before accepting the instruction.
